Tracking Steel Coils

Tracking Steel Rolls

Tracking steel Coils is a challenge due to its size and  material. Selecting right type of RFID tags and hand held reader is also a challenge. In such location, using any RFID portable gun shaped reader with long read range is not the right choice.

Using conventional RFID portable gun shaped reader with long read range is not the right choice.  With so much of metal around in the vicinity there are always chances of reading the unwanted tag.

In such application it is best to use special RFID reader with short range and sled  RFID reader that can be extended to make sure you read one tag at a time. As its a sled reader, the data can be seen on the mobile as reading is in progress.

Tracking Steel Pipes

Tracking steel pipes is a challenge due to its size and  material. Selecting right type of RFID tags and hand held reader is also a challenge.

In such location, using any RFID portable gun shaped reader with long read range is not the right choice.

Gun type of reader with long reading range will definitely miss some tags and the total count of pipes will not be correct. In such application it is best to use special RFID reader with short range and sled  RFID reader that can be extended to make sure you read one tag at a time. As its a sled reader, the read data can be seen on the mobile as reading is in progress.

RFID Tracking is a technology that helps brewers automate the process of keg tracking and managing their kegs. RFID tags are placed on the kegs, and at any stage in the cycle, a keg’s status can be checked as it passes through a fixed RFID portal or when it is scanned using a handheld scanner during keg delivery and pickup. DDS ‘Keg Track’ software solution processes the RFID scans and then provides brewers with up-to-date information about their kegs. The keg’s last location, which customers has which kegs, how long the kegs have been at the customer site, which customers keep kegs the longest (or don’t return them at all).  With DDS ‘Keg Track’, brewers have analytic tools to help them better plan and manage the movement of their kegs. DDS ‘Keg Track’ creates standard and customized reports that detail keg movement, status, and cycle time statistics. Better visibility and planning improves keg control, security, and utilization. Brewers can use DDS ‘Keg Track’ and RFID to uniquely identify each keg with its contents, and capture important data throughout its journey through the supply chain. Using the cloud-based system, brewers have accurate, up-to-date information and reports on keg fills, status, movement, customer location, returns, keg repair, and maintenance. DDS ‘Keg Track’ and ‘keg management’ system is end-to-end (software, hardware, and services) and will start providing benefits on day one.

RFID Tracking Advantages

  • Automatic scheduling of maintenance/cleaning events
  • Identify anomalies to increase keg turn around times/usage
  • Automatic identification of kegs throughout the facility
  • Hold distributor accountable to specific keg return
  • Decrease line failures due to maintenance issues
  • Increase product quality assurance
  • Decrease shrink Improve asset utilization
  • Elimination of manual inventory
  • Improve transportation/distribution

During crushing season sugarcane is transported from the fields to the sugar plant either in tractors or Bullock carts. Arrival of each Bullock cart/ tractor along with name of farmer is recorded at the entry of sugar plant. The weight of the sugarcane is recorded on the weigh bridge before and after unloading sugarcane for crushing. The complete process is automated with RFID. The implementation of RFID has reduced waiting time of farmers at the sugar plant and collection of payment is streamlined.

Implementation

All bullock carts and tractors are are tagged with RFID tags. RFID readers at the entry track each bullock cart and tractors as they enter. They are also tracked at weigh bridge before and after unloading. The complete process is automated and documented with RFID.

Elevator Access Control provides complete security to buildings. In a high rise building, entry to each floor is not secured as any one can access any floor through elevator. A simple and cost effective elevator access control from DDS authorizes access only to authorized persons. Elevator access can secure entry,  floor wise thus allowing only persons living or working on that floor or multi floor access or to all floors. For smaller buildings it can permit access to only authorized persons to any floor. This flexible access control can be used on the landing side or on COP (car operating Panel). When located on Car Operating Panel, it secures use of elevator only by authorized person. When located on the landing side, only authorized person can register  call from the landing side.

 Elevator Access Control Features

Access floors wise:   Authorized person can access only predefined floor

Multi floor access:     Authorized person can access predefined more than one floor.

A/C by time of day :   Free access to everyone during say day time and only authorized person during night.

By pass access during parties and functions.

Permit access by expiry date – Helpful for collection of AMC.

Access Control for Car elevators and parking

Destination Control System (DSC)

RFID HF Solutions for classroom attendance is simple, Versatile and cost effective. Hand held reader records classroom attendance in a jiff. Records attendance of 100 students in less then 5 minutes. Each student carries a RFID HF ID card.  Touching ID to the hand held reader records attendance. No proxy punching as total number of students present is shown on the display.

RFID HF solution optionally stores subject and classroom location. Data is transferred to PC through USB or GPRS  Other applications are construction site attendance, event management, conferences, and is suitable for  RFID portable data collection.
